    Today you’ll go on a Half Day Corcovado and Tijuca Forest tour. We will drive to one of the older parts of Rio called Cosme Velho, from where we take the train to the Corcovado Mountain with the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer (2.300ft above sea level). A modern swiss-made cogwheel rail climbs the mountain from its base at 15 m almost to the summit at 710 m. The trip up takes 17 minutes aprox, at a maximum speed of 15km/h. The trip down takes 22min, at a speed of 12km/h. A new city unfolds in front of you, there is no car top to hinder your view of the sea, the mountains or even the buildings. A new way of seeing the city. Tour enters the forest by a side road that starts by the Botanical Garden. In a few meters you forget that you are in Rio. The forest is all around you and you cannot hear the noises of the city any longer. Along the way, you stop at Vista Chinesa - a Chinese padoga style pavilion built in homage of the Chinese that came to Brazil, by invitation of the Brazilian Emperor to plant tea in the forest area. Continuing a brief stop at the Emperor´s Table, a terrace and huge granite table, once the site of imperial picnics. Entering the forest proper, a stop at Cascatinha - the small waterfall for refreshments. Visit the Solidão pond and return by Estrada das Canoas and a beautiful view of the hang gliders. Taking a beach road and return to the hotel.

    Today you’ll be transferred to Paraty (3 hrs drive). Upon arrival in Paraty, be transferred to your hotel.     Today you’ll be transferred to the airport. Board a flight from Rio de Janeiro to Iguassu. Upon arrival in Iguassu, be transferred to the hotel.     Iguassu

    Today you’ll go on a half day Brazillian side of the falls tour and a half day Argentinian side of the falls tour. Located on the west end of the Paraná river, the Iguazú Park is a huge tropical rainforest which has been declared a World Heritage Site - it is one of the largest forest reserves in South America. Countless flora and fauna species live in it. We will take an elevator down to the base of the waterfalls and stop right above the river level. From a 1000 m footbridge, we will be able to admire the majestic Iguazú Falls or go up an elevator to the Salto Floreano viewpoint. MACUCO SAFARI BY BOAT - Half Day Argentinian side of the falls Iguazú National Park, 55,500 hectares - bears the name of the river serving as northern border, which means ‘great waters’ in the guaraní language. Surrounded by a lush subtropical rainforest, we will find the majestic Iguazú Waterfalls. Its water volume and more than 275 falls makes it the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. On different footbridges, we will visit the heart of the waterfalls, appreciating them from different angles. We will visit the lower circuit, and feel part of nature, refreshing ourselves with waterfall drizzle. On the upper circuit, we will stop at different viewpoints, and then reach the balcony at Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat). No doubt, this is the most amazing of all falls - water falls down from 80 meters.

    Iguassu to Cuiaba to Pantanal

    Today you’ll be transferred to the airport to board a flight from Iguassu to Cuiaba. Upon arrival at the Cuiabá airport by a bilingual guide, transfer to your hotel in Pantanal, passing through the small village of Mimoso, where Mal. Candido Rondon was born. On the way, observe different species of birds, small mammals and beautiful landscapes. The transfer takes about 3 and a half hours. Check in to your Hotel. In the evening a delicious piranha soup is served just before dinner. After dinner, introduction to the activities of the following days.     Pantanal

    Today you’ll go on a horseback trail riding in the jungle, up to the edge of the Siá Mariana bay and a boat ride for a photographic safari in Mutum River. All year round, large variety of birds, animals and reptiles can be observed. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, boat ride for a photographic safari in Mutum River. In its crystal clear water it is possible to see giant otters, stingrays and huge schools of small fish. At the Mutum river banks, a large variety of birds can be observed. Return to the lodge for dinner, then nocturnal animal spotting by jeep in the lodge surrounding area.

    Pantanal

    Go on an ecological walk through the jungle and open fields to observe animals and birds. Having the largest diversity of bird species in the world, Pantanal is specially interesting for bird watching. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, boat trip down the Mutum river banks, Siá Mariana bay and Chacororé bay. Return by boat to the lodge, stopping to see the sunset at the Siá Mariana bay and do piranha fishing*. In the evening, cayman feeding with the piranhas fished from Siá Mariana bay and nocturnal animals spotting. *According to the law, fishing is forbidden from October to March.

    Pantanal to Cuiaba to Salvador

    Your day starts early today. 4:30am Canoeing in the Mutum river to see the sunrise and the beauty of wildlife at the break of dawn in Pantanal. Return to the lodge for breakfast and check-out. Transfer to the Cuiaba airport to board the flight from Cuiaba to Salvador. Arrive in Salvador and be transferred to the hotel.     Go on a half day city tour of Salvador. Starting at Farol da Barra (Barra lighthouse), the tour continues heading to the Teatro Castro Alves (Castro Alves Theather), Forte São Pedro and Castro Alves Square, all the way to the Pelourinho, the most famous square on city center. There, one can find more than a thousand old houses, churches and monuments built on the XVI century. This is the greatest baroque architectonic inheritance in Latin America.
